Quistis' limit breaks are of the Blue Magic variety. (aka, she learns her enemies' attacks and uses them for herself.) Limit Break is when a character has low hp and is about to die. Randomly, the limit break option will be enabled and the character can use a special strong attack known as a limit break. Each character has their own unique set of limit breaks and how to use them. Quistis learns her limit breaks by using items dropped by enemies on herself. She will automatically learn the limit break that the item provides. Most of her limit breaks are of the offensive variety, but she does have some very good healing and status abilities. A list of her limit breaks are below.
» Lazer Eye - A lazer beam shoots out of Quistis' Eyes and hits a single enemy. This is Quistis' first limit break and not all that strong. It is initially on Quistis.
» Ultrawaves - Ultrawaves sends waves at your enemies and sometimes causes them to go berserk. (usually not though). It hits all enemies and can be learned by using the item "Spider Web" which is easy to find from the monsters running around in the forest on the Balamb Island (The Caterpiller things)
» Electrocute - This is an lighting elemental attack. You learn it from obtaining a Coral Fragment from either a Cockatice (looks like a chicken) or a Creeps (looks like a black shadow ghost). It does medium damage and effects one enemy.
» LV?Death - This attack kills enemies at multiples of a randomly given level. The level changes each time and I usually don't use this attack as it normally never works. You have to learn this attack from a "Curse Spike". You can learn it from Forbiddens, Imps, Malboros (oh, the horror), Creeps, and Trifaces.
» Degenerator - A rather cool attack! It works on most enemies (unless their really strong). This attack will remove one enemy from battle and it works MOST OF THE TIME for me. I find it very useful, though it's useless against bosses. You can learn this attack from a Black Hole item. You can steal these from the enemies called Wendigos and Gespers.
» Aqua Breath - A water elemental attack. This attack does medium damage and I used it quite a bit when I first got it. You learn it from the item "Water Crystal" that can be obtained from a high level Fastitocalon, Chimeras, Fastitocalon-Fs, and Grand Mantis.
» Mico Missiles - I used this attack a lot during the game. It depletes about half of the enemies hp, but cannot do over 9,999 damage at a time. The itemt you learn this limit break from is called "Missle". You can get this item from Death Claws and GIM52As.
» Acid - I usually never used this attack. You can learn this attack from the item called "Mystery Fluid" which is rather easy to obtain from Gaylas that can be found up north near Trabia. Deals medium damage and I think it can cause some status effects.
» Gatling Gun - Quistis shoots many bullets at her enemy. Targets one enemy only. The item you need to perform this attack is a "Running Fire" that you can get from a SAM08G.
» Bad Breath - This attack works wonders against biological enemies. It won't do much to machine enemies. It casts EVERY bad status in the game on all your enemies provided they don't have an status block to it. You can learn this attack from the item "Malboro Tenticle". The only enemy you can get this item from is the horrifying Malboro. Good Luck! (easy way to kill malboros: Use Quistis' Degenorator attack as soon as you can!!!)
» White Wind - A healing attack, and a good one at that. It restores as much hp as Quistis has lost to everyone in the party. (aka, if Quistis has 1 hp left and her max hp is 9,999 using this attack will heal everyone exactly 9,998hp.) You learn this attack from "Whispers" that you can get from Adamantoises.
» Homing Lazer - Duel white lazer beams hits one enemy for massive damage. You can learn this attack from a "Lazer Cannon". The enemies you get this from are Elastoids.
» Mighty Guard - A great deffensive attack! It puts positive status on your characters. Usually just protect and shell, but it can cast regen and a variety of others such as aura. You learn this from a "Barrier" that can only be obtained from Behemoths.
» Ray-Bomb - Remember the X-ATM092 that you fought in Dollet? Well, you get to use his attack now. You learn it from "Power Generators" that can be obtained from Blitzs.
» Shockwave Pulsar - Quistis' STRONGEST limit break in the game and the most hard to get. It can do 5 digit damage! To obtain this limit break, you need a "Dark Matter". This is the hard part... to get a Dark Matter, you must use the Tool-Ref ability that Siren has, but she must be at level 100! Also, you need 100 curse spikes. You have to refine the 100 spikes into ONE Dark Matter. Cheap, huh? Best of luck...
