A very unique thing to have started in Final Fantasy VII is that all characters, after battle and before battle, have stances that they use to start out their battles or show victory poses. This cool feature is more brought out in Final Fantasy VIII than before in FFVII and I think, even more so than FFIX's.
º Quistis' Starting Pose - It's the beginning of the battle and Quistis is ready. As the battle music starts you see Quistis take out her whip and crack it in front of her for a very impressive *crack*. She then withdrawals the weapon close to her chest where she can be on guard till you choose for her to take action in battle.
º Quistis' Magic Casting // Limit Break Pose - When casting either magic or a limit break or even summoning a Guardian Force, Quistis has a cool stance that goes along with her cool moves. She bends over, crosses her arms and then closes her eyes. She then reaches towards the skies and holds her arms up, only to bring them crossed over her chest again as she opens her eyes and casts the magic. I think this is the most graceful and not to mention cool looking battle stance she has.
º Quistis' Victory Pose - Yeah, everyone has a victory pose! ^_^ Quistis' is the most elegant and I'd think, prettiest. After battle she reaches behind her ear and tucks her hair behind it and then, whip in hand, stretches and sighs in relief that the battle is over. She looks really confident when she pulls this one off.
